Dr. Bill Johnson

Physical Therapist &

Orthopedic Specialist

Dr. Bill Johnson, PT, DPT, OCS has been serving the community through private practice since 1994. In 2023, he rebranded his clinic as a Medicare–Cash Hybrid practice focused on evidence-based, one-on-one care.

Dr. Johnson combines advanced manual therapy with individualized exercise programs to help patients recover from injuries, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love.

With over 30 years of experience and expertise in shoulder and knee rehabilitation, throwing athlete performance, and speed development, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to helping people move better and live healthier, more active lives. Outside the clinic, he enjoys time with family, hiking, and skiing.

Dr. Blake Mann

Physical Therapist &

Orthopedic Specialist

Dr. Blake Mann, PT, DPT, OCS joined ARPT in September 2024. He graduated from Mary Baldwin University’s Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences physical therapy doctoral program. Dr. Mann also holds B.S. in Exercise Science from Bridgewater College where he also played lacrosse for the Eagles. During his years in college, he developed a love for the Shenandoah Valley, and is eager to serve the Harrisonburg community.

Despite his strong athletic background Dr. Mann has a passion for working with patients of all ability levels, and desires to help all patients reach their functional goals whether they be on the field, at work, home, or in the community.

Dr. Mann believes optimal outcomes are produced with an evidence-based balance between manual therapy and targeted therapeutic exercise.

Dr. Elise Brackett-Smith

Physical Therapist

Dr. Elise Brackett-Smith PT, DPT is joining ARPT in December 2025. Elise graduated from the Montclair State University with a degree in Exercise Science. While at Montclair State, Elise also played on the volleyball team for four years as a defensive specialist. She then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mary Baldwin University, where she also served on the school council board as Diversity Chairman.

As a former athlete whom also experienced injuries and physical therapy, Elise has a special passion to help her patients stay healthy or return to their sport as quickly and safely as possible. Elise also has a special interest in treating neurological conditions as well as the geriatric population.

When she isn’t working, Elise enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching volleyball, playing softball, saltwater fishing, and discovering new places to eat.

Tina Johnson

Administrative Executive

Tina, our Administrative Assistant and Bill’s wife, brings a heart for service and a diverse background in education to our clinic. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Special Education and spent several years teaching before dedicating time to raising and homeschooling their three children. Guided by her faith and love for helping others, she enjoys welcoming patients and supporting the team. In her free time, she enjoys hospitality, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
